Become a Patron of design

Websters Dictionary
1. a person who is a customer, client, or paying guest, especially a regular one, of a store, hotel, or the like.
2. a person who supports with money, gifts, efforts, or endorsement an artist, writer, museum, cause, charity, institution, special event, or the like: a patron of the arts; patrons of the annual Democratic dance.

Patrons buy more than a luxury product. They also buy into a unique business model.

We look forward to sharing 10% of WILKENS’s sales revenue with our Patrons. WILKENS’s niche crowdfunding concept depends on Patrons to fund products of exceptional design and quality in small series. For example, the W1 Suitcase and W2 Watch projects will only reach critical mass – and goes into production – when 200 Patrons have signed on to each project.

The Patron community commits to buying a product that is still at the concept stage and not yet in production. Patrons participate in financing product development and production costs. Along with likeminded luxury aficionados from around the world, they also have an interest in making the project a success, and in discretely spreading the word. In return, they can expect some unique privileges.

Patrons are the very first ones to receive their own custom-made WILKENS products. They also share in the Patron Payback Program, which distributes 10% of all subsequent sales revenue evenly between the project Patrons. Forever.

Patrons pay a deposit when they sign on. Deposits are held in a special bank account until production of their project is ready to start, at which time they are asked to pay the balance.

In the unlikely event that WILKENS does not recruit enough Patrons before the deadline that we set for ourselves, the Patron’s deposit will be returned to in full, no questions asked.

Patrons who fail to pay the balance when production is ready to begin forfeit their deposit.
